The long 4 month wait of if we will get a ATCT (Air Traffic Control) position this application period has been answered by the following email!

You are being considered for an Air Traffic Control Specialist (ATCS) position in California.  The next step in the process is for you to be interviewed at an FAA facility.  You must respond to this ***REVISED*** inquiry in order to be scheduled for an interview.  Please respond by email as our focus will be to send out emails and then to handle responses in the order they are received.  A telephone call could delay the process.  

We plan to have you interview at an FAA facility located close to your address on record.  Your interview will be scheduled at Las Vegas TRACON, L30 in Las Vegas, NV unless you notify us that you have relocated.  Please provide any updates/changes to your address, telephone number(s), and/or email address.  

If you successfully complete your interview and are recommended for hire, the Aviation Careers Division will provide you with the information required to schedule the remaining pre-employment processing steps.  

What you need to do today or not later than the close of business on Friday, April 27, 2012 is respond to this email with the following information:

1.        Decide if you would like to accept or decline this offer to interview.  If you decide to decline the offer to interview, let us know.  This decision must be in writing.  

2.        If you have not updated your information in AVIATOR, you need to do so in addition to providing corrections to us for the interview process.  

3.        Tell us if the facility and location identified for your interview are satisfactory or if another facility and location are preferable.  Terminal candidates must interview at a Terminal facility.  Our system identifies the closest facility with an authorized interviewer to your current address.    

We will acknowledge your response by return email.  We look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible and definitely by Friday, April 27, 2012.  Remember:  The earlier you respond to this message, the sooner you will be sent forward and scheduled for an interview.
